Call for abstract submissions

Third Call

We are pleased to announce the third call for the National and International Meeting of Researchers in Animal Sciences (ENICIP) 2025. This event offers a unique opportunity to share research advances and foster collaboration among experts in the livestock and agricultural sectors.

For 33 years, educational and state institutions have organized the Meeting of Animal Science Researchers –ENICIP– to promote and disseminate advances in research and innovation for the agricultural sector. ENICIP has provided an ideal setting to reflect on the challenges posed by climate change, efficient water management, health, and global well-being in the transformation processes of agri-food systems to achieve sustainable, safe, and sovereign food production.

Latin America and the Caribbean are regions with a vocation for agriculture. In this sense, this sector is essential for increasing productivity and improving the population's quality of life, which in turn contributes to economic growth, sustainability, and competitiveness. It is, therefore, necessary to prioritize research and innovation areas, allowing for strategic short, medium, and long-term investments in the rural sector to promote biotechnological and social innovation, develop value chains for basic products, advance agroindustry, enhance precision agriculture, and reduce food waste. Increasing public and private investment in research, innovation, infrastructure, and technology transfer is essential to achieve these objectives.

ENICIP gathers over 700 national and international researchers who present their work across 19 thematic areas, and features keynote speakers with distinguished academic careers. Abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentations are published in the Revista Colombiana de Ciencias Pecuarias RCCP - Colombian Journal of Animal Sciences (https://revistas.udea.edu.co/index.php/rccp), an international open–access journal focused on new findings in animal health and production. The journal is indexed in WoS, Scopus, Publindex, and Scielo, and is currently categorized as Q3.

The event organizers invite researchers in animal sciences to participate in ENICIP 2025, which will take place from September 17 to 19, 2025, at the Forum-UPB Events Center (Medellín – Colombia).
